Overview

Flint Engine includes a complete email marketing system for creating campaigns, managing subscriber lists, and sending automated messages. The system handles email composition, delivery, tracking, and subscriber management.

Marketing Workspace

Navigate to Marketing in the admin sidebar to access the email marketing dashboard. The workspace has its own layout with dedicated sections.

Email Campaigns

Create and send email campaigns:

  1. Go to Campaigns → Create
  2. Set campaign details (name, subject, sender)
  3. Choose recipients from lists or segments
  4. Design email content with the template editor
  5. Send immediately or schedule for later

Campaign Types

  • Broadcast — One-time email to a list or segment
  • Scheduled — Future-dated email campaign
  • Automated — Triggered by events or sequences

Subscriber Lists

Navigate to Lists to manage email lists:

  • Create and name subscriber lists
  • Add or remove subscribers
  • Import subscribers from CSV
  • Export list data
  • View list growth over time

Audiences

Navigate to Audiences for more advanced subscriber management:

  • Create dynamic audiences based on criteria
  • Sync audiences from multiple sources
  • Bulk add or remove contacts
  • Export audience data
  • Manage subscription status

Segments

Navigate to Segments to create targeted groups:

  • Define segment criteria (demographics, behavior, engagement)
  • Use segments for campaign targeting
  • Track segment growth over time

Email Templates

Navigate to Templates to create reusable email designs:

  • Build templates with the visual editor
  • Save templates for reuse across campaigns
  • Duplicate existing templates
  • Preview templates before sending

Sender Identities

Navigate to Senders to manage sender profiles:

  • Create multiple sender identities
  • Set a default sender for campaigns
  • Use different sender names and emails for different purposes

Email Automation

Navigate to Automation to create automated sequences:

  • Welcome series for new subscribers
  • Post-purchase follow-up sequences
  • Re-engagement campaigns for inactive subscribers
  • Event-triggered email sequences

Suppression Management

Navigate to Suppression to manage email deliverability:

  • Suppression List — Manually suppress email addresses
  • Bounces — View and manage bounced emails
  • Unsubscribes — View opt-out requests

Email Settings

Configure email delivery in Marketing → Settings:

  • Default From Name — Sender name for campaigns
  • Default From Email — Sender email address
  • Reply-To — Response email address
  • Footer Text — Unsubscribe link and company info
  • Track Opens / Clicks — Enable engagement tracking
  • Double Opt-In — Require email confirmation

Mail Profiles

Navigate to Mail Profiles to manage SMTP configurations:

  • Create multiple SMTP profiles
  • Set a default mail profile
  • Test SMTP connection
  • Use different profiles for different sending purposes

Tip: Start with small test campaigns to verify email delivery and formatting before sending to large lists. Use the preview feature to check how emails render.
