Overview
Since Flint Engine primarily sells digital products and software licenses, the delivery process focuses on electronic fulfillment rather than physical shipping. License keys are generated automatically and displayed to the customer immediately after purchase.
Digital Product Delivery
For software products, delivery happens automatically:
- Customer completes checkout
- Order is created and a license key is generated
- Customer is redirected to the order success page
- License key is displayed on screen with a copy button
- Customer activates the software using the license key
License Key Delivery
License keys are delivered through:
- Order Success Page — The license key is displayed immediately after checkout with a one-click copy button
- Customer Order Page — Customers can return to their order using the secure link to view their license key
Order Fulfillment
Admins can manage fulfillment from the order detail page:
- Verify Order — Confirm customer details and payment
- Assign License — Manually assign a license key (usually automatic)
- Update Status — Move the order through pending → confirmed → processing → completed
- Record Payment — Mark the order as paid
Physical Shipping
If you sell physical products, Flint Engine supports basic shipping configuration:
- Shipping address collection during checkout
- Order status tracking for physical shipments
- Manual tracking number entry
For physical shipping with carrier rates and label generation, consider integrating with a shipping provider API.
Tip: Test the full delivery flow by placing a test order. Verify that the license key is generated correctly and that activation works on your software.
