Categories help organize your blog posts into logical groups. Readers can browse articles by category, making it easier to find content relevant to their interests.
Blog Categories
Blog content has its own category system managed through the CMS. Categories are created and assigned to posts within the blog management section.
Managing Blog Categories
When creating or editing a blog post, you can assign it to a category:
- Navigate to Blog in the admin sidebar
- Create a new post or edit an existing one
- Select a category from the category dropdown
- Save the post
Frontend Display
Categories appear on your website as:
- Navigation menu items in the blog section
- Category labels on blog post cards
- Filter options on the blog listing page
- Breadcrumb navigation on post detail pages
Tips
- Keep your category structure simple — 5-10 categories are usually sufficient
- Use descriptive names that readers will understand
- Avoid creating too many categories with only one post each
- Consistent categorization helps with SEO and reader navigation
Note: Blog categories are separate from your product catalog. Software products are listed individually on their product pages rather than organized into browsable categories.
